The Kingstree Police Department Patrol Division is charged with the primary responsibility for all law enforcement within the community. The patrol division’s mission is to preserve the peace, protect life and property against the effects of criminal activity and to ensure the safety of the public by enforcing all laws. The uniformed officers are the most visible and readily identifiable representative of the Town of Kingstree. They represent the Police Department’s first responders to emergency and non-emergency situations 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The goal of this unit is the public safety of Kingstree’s citizens and motorists and the smooth flow of traffic. These officers patrol the entire city and often are the first units on scene for service related calls. Patrol officers receive extensive training so that they may better perform their duties.

- Traffic accident investigation
- Traffic enforcement
- Parking enforcement
- Hit and run accidents
- DUI enforcement
- All calls requesting police intervention
