The Town of Kingstree has a full-time Water Meter Technician position vacancy. The successful candidate will perform routine duties, including accurately reading water meters, repairing meters, troubleshooting meter problems, service meters, changing meters out, and maintaining meter boxes and the areas surrounding meter boxes. The successful candidate will also operate various tools and equipment, including hand-held computers and tools. This position requires considerable physical activity, outdoor work in sometimes inclement weather with varying temperatures, and working in thick vegetation. Working close to vehicle traffic and environmental hazards is also required. Prior meter reading experience is preferred. A high school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid South Carolina Driver’s License are required. The deadline to apply for this position is May 16, 2023.
