Anti-Bullying Program-Operation Speak Out
The purpose of Operation Speak Out is to educate citizens about the effects of bullying. Special speakers are available for events. Police Officers are available for mentoring and ongoing support. Neighborhood Watch
The purpose of the Neighborhood Watch program is to organize neighbors and bring them together in order to make them more vigilant about what transpires in their neighborhood. Neighborhood watches help reduce the fear and incidence of crime, thus making our town a safer place to live, work, and play. Senior Citizens Patrol
The Kingstree Police Department understands that senior citizens are frequently targeted by criminals and often unknowingly become victims of crime. Our Senior Citizens Patrol allows senior citizens to have direct contact with patrol officers . Officers visit daily with senior citizens and explain how to recognize fraud and how to protect themselves from criminals. Victims Advocate Services
The Victims Advocate Program was established to assist victims and witnesses of crimes during their involvement with the Criminal Justice System. Their service is also available to help victims recover from the physical, emotional and financial impact of the crime, as well as to ensure that your rights are met and that your concerns and needs are addressed by providing:
- Criminal justice support and advocacy
- Crisis intervention
- Preparation for court testimony
- Assistance with written/oral impact statements and property return
- Assistance with harassment or intimidation
