ARB Public Hearing Scheduled

The Architectural Review Board (ARB) of Kingstree, South Carolina will hold a Special Call Meeting and Public Hearing at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Kingstree Town Hall, 401 North Longstreet Street, Kingstree, South Carolina 29556.

Case Number ARB  2019-09-001A               Whitney McGee, aka, the Paisley Pearl  [‘Applicant’]  is requesting a Certificate Of Appropriateness (COA) for exterior design in accordance  with the Kingstree Zoning Ordinance Section 153.248 (COA is required). If approved, the COA will allow for new business logo image and lighting  at the front entrance, and each side of the business located at 136 North Academy  Street, represented by Williamsburg County Tax Map # 11-025-160 and is located within the Core Commercial Zoning District.

Case Number ARB  2019-09-002A               James Wilson, aka, Elaine’s Fashion Boutique  [‘Applicant’]  is requesting a Certificate Of Appropriateness (COA) for exterior design and new signage  in accordance  with the Kingstree Zoning Ordinance Section 153.248 (COA is required). If approved, the COA will allow for new business sign  at the front entrance, and each side of the business located at 138 North Academy  Street, represented by Williamsburg County Tax Map # 11-025-161 and is located within the Core Commercial Zoning District.

Case Number ARB  2019-10-001A               Jennie Holt, aka, Treasures on East Mill (Used Furniture and Home Décor)  [‘Applicant’]  is requesting a Certificate Of Appropriateness (COA) for new signage design  in accordance  with the Kingstree Zoning Ordinance Section 153.248 (COA is required). If approved, the COA will allow for new business sign  at the front entrance, of the business located at 129 East Mill   Street, represented by Williamsburg County Tax Map # 11-025-196 and is located within the Core Commercial Zoning District.

Case Number ARB  2019-10-002A               Sulondia Hammond, aka, Sue-Ham Entertainment, LLC [‘Applicant’]  is requesting a Certificate Of Appropriateness (COA) for exterior design and new signage  in accordance  with the Kingstree Zoning Ordinance Section 153.248 (COA is required). If approved, the COA will allow for new business window and wall sign and designs   at the front entrance of the business located at 107 West Main Street, represented by Williamsburg County Tax Map # 11-025-086 and is located within the Core Commercial Zoning District

The intent of the CC Zoning District is to establish an area for concentrated general business development that the general public requires. These regulations are designed to protect the essential characteristics of the district by promotion of business and public uses which serve the general public and to discourage industrial and wholesale developments which do not lend themselves to pedestrian traffic.
